Nutrition Services

Whether you have high blood cholesterol levels, diabetes, hypertension, or just want to eat more nutritiously, St. Francis Hospital’s Preventative Cardiology Nutrition Service can help. Our registered dietitian offers individual counseling, group classes, and corporate seminars designed to make sure your diet is heart-healthy.

Individual nutrition counseling is available through our medical nutrition therapy program. The initial one-hour session provides personalized nutritional recommendations with a meal plan. It also includes computer analysis of a three-day food diary and modification suggestions using appropriate medical and nutritional guidelines. Medicare will cover beneficiaries for nutrition therapy for diabetes and non-dialysis kidney disease.
