St. Francis Hospital Goes Mobile

St. Francis Hospital has just launched a companion website designed to meet the needs of the increasing number of visitors who use smartphones.

Over the past year, smartphone use has been exploding. In October 2010, mobile traffic represented only 5.7 percent of the total traffic to the St. Francis Hospital website, and by October 2011, mobile traffic had almost quadrupled. Users of smartphones now constitute 16 percent of our site traffic, and that growth is expected to continue.

The new mobile website will enable users of iPhones, Androids, Blackberrys and other similar phones to find a St. Francis physician, browse job postings and email them to a friend, find hospital locations and directions, and directly call important hospital departments.

We encourage everyone who uses a smartphone to check out the new site by pointing your phone’s browser to the St. Francis website at www.stfrancisheartcenter.com. Our website will automatically detect if you are a visitor using a smartphone and direct you to the mobile site.
