Anthony Pellicano to Lead Human Resources at St. Francis Hospital and Mercy Medical Center
Roslyn, NY- Anthony Pellicano has been appointed Vice President for Human Resources for Catholic Health Services of Long Island’s St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center® in Roslyn and Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre.
Pellicano was formerly Vice President of Human Resources at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, New Jersey, where his accomplishments ranged from developing a leadership academy to implementing a Human Resources information system. As a senior leader, he was credited with the distinction of helping Holy Name be designated as one of the best places to work in New Jersey for the past three years.
“Tony is an accomplished Human Resources professional who has implemented many new and innovative programs over the course of his career in healthcare,” says Ruth Hennessey, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of St. Francis. “We are fortunate to have him join our management team.”
With more than 30 years of experience in the field of healthcare human resources, Pellicano began his career at Wyckoff Heights Hospital where he was promoted to Personnel Director. He went on to become the Corporate Director of Employee Relations at Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens, a multi-hospital system. Pellicano has a B.A. and M.B.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Bernard Baruch College.
