St. Francis Hospital and Regent Surgical Health Announce Joint Venture
East Hills Surgery Center designed to treat complex cases including total joint replacement
East Hills, N.Y., February 7, 2018– St. Francis Hospital of Catholic Health Services of Long Island has partnered with Regent Surgical Health and 34 physician partners to develop East Hills Surgery Center. The newly opened facility is the first ambulatory surgery center for St. Francis Hospital and Catholic Health Services of Long Island and is designed specifically to accomodate complex cases and procedures including total joint replacement and spine disorders.
“Driven largely by value-based care, the move of appropriate cases to outpatient surgery centers is playing a more significant role in the healthcare model of the future,” said Ruth E. Hennessey, EVP & Chief Administrative Officer of St Francis Hospital. “This is an example of our commitment to stay ahead of trends in healthcare, bringing lower costs and better outcomes to patients.”
East Hills Surgery Center is a 15,000-square-foot multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center (ASC) located on St. Francis Hospital’s extensive ambulatory campus. The center, located at 2200 Northern Boulevard in East Hills, N.Y., includes five operating rooms, four pre-operative, and 15 post-operative beds.
