Cancer Institute Infusion Services

The Infusion Center at the Cancer Institute is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art outpatient chemotherapy treatment in a comfortable and spiritually supportive environment. We provide multidisciplinary care centered on the individual needs of each patient. Our operations are 6 days a week – 12 hours a day, Monday through Friday; 8 hours on Saturday. We have the capacity to serve roughly twenty chairs at a time. Beyond standard chemotherapy infusion, we also provide biologic therapy, blood transfusion support, and antibiotic therapy to serve the needs of oncology and hematology patients.

The Infusion Unit generally serves patients aged 18 or older. Our population consists of patients diagnosed with cancer including hematological malignancies inclusive of sickle cell anemia, immunologic diseases, as well as patients referred from infectious disease physicians for antibiotic therapy. Hematology and oncology outpatients range from newly diagnosed, controlled disease, evidence of disease progression, and palliative care in all stages of cancer care. We are highly experienced in and attentive to the psychosocial support our patients and their families require.

Beyond Cancer Institute affiliated physicians, the Infusion Unit also serves the needs of community based physicians for chemotherapy infusions and blood transfusion support.

Patients of the Infusion Center have a wide portfolio of services and support available to provide 360° care for the whole person – clinically, emotionally, socially, psychologically, and spiritually.
